My Swiss Asset Manager friends sent me home with a gift from our last meeting. It’s a documentary titled “A Crude Awakening – The Oil Crash”. It is primarily a documentary style film but it is well done.
This film details one proof after another that not only are we in a situation of Peak Oil, but that there is no plan anywhere to really do anything about it.
Some particularly startling footage is shown of Texas oil fields that once, just a couple of decades ago, were touted as having an inexhaustible supply of crude oil are now ugly landscapes of rusted oil dereks and other equipment left to rot away. (I would think that in today’s markets the scrap metal would be worth salvaging.)
